The true Saga begins with this book.

 

In the two-year period encompassed in this novel, we will see the intertwining of a number of different stories: in some cases, army officers and legionaries fighting epic battles will be the protagonists: Rome has decided to expand, and will do so in a massive scale.

 

In other cases, new and powerful vessels will surf the oceans, bringing the Eagle of Rome in distant lands; in others, totally unexpected and unusual characters for an Ancient Rome-based plot will appear.

 

Our well-known protagonists preserve their prominent role as the story unfolds in the city of Rome. However, many behind-the-scenes events will be revealed that were only to be inferred in the first three books.
